Welcome to the MetroWest Free Medical ProgramThe MetroWest Free Medical Program connects volunteer health care professionals with those who are uninsured and underinsured in the MetroWest communities. The program provides free medical care at our locations in Sudbury and Framingham. Each week, volunteer physicians, nurses, social workers, and others provide care for acute and chronic illnesses. Our services include general medicine, women's health, vision care and specialists in diabetes, asthma, orthopedics, ophthalmology, psychiatry, and health education. We also make referrals for mental health services, other community resources, and assist with health insurance enrollment. Patients in need of lab tests or x-rays can have those done at the local hospital. Patients needing prescription medication can access those at low-cost or no costs. MetroWest Free Medical Program does not prescribe controlled substances. The Program provides free health care services for more than 1300 patients each year through the dedication of more than 200 volunteers. MetroWest Free Medical Program is hosted by Congregation Beth El in Sudbury and First Parish Church in Framingham.
